Munich House
An historic house just outside Munich, decorated for clients who had lived many years in the UK and wanted a strong sense of Englishness, but not at the expense of the building’s continental character. The challenge was to bring light, colour and a distinctly British sensibility to rooms that still felt entirely at home in Southern Germany.

The ground floor rooms open onto the garden through large double doors, so maintaining a connection to the outdoors was essential. We chose a palette that felt light and colourful, with fresh greens and pinks to complement the garden views.
We balanced the English feeling our clients wanted with continental antiques and specially made furniture and rugs that feel rooted in their Bavarian setting. The interiors have a distinct personality without seeming imported, which was exactly the point.
